  1. The parts of Mason Jr’s life that are the most relatable to mine are the growing up and fighting with siblings, the at first awkwardness of talking to girls when he was younger and the being ready to move out of the house and start college attitude. When I was little I would always fight with my sister then eventually sisters on long car rides and in the house. It was just a part of growing up. The second thing I connected with, was when Mason first started talking to girls and it was a little awkward for him. I feel like this is everyones problem the first time they try to talk to another gender though. The third thing was that by time senior year of high school came around all I wanted to do was have fun that year and then get ready to move to college and basically start another life.
  2. The character that I think I fit in with the most was Mason. This is because he had to find a way to fit in overtime he got to a new school and make friends. I relate to this because when I moved from California I had to do the exact same thing. I also had to do this my senior year of high school when I moved once more. So I understand his sadness when he moved and how it felt.
  3. The line “It’s always right now, you know” means to me that the moment is always occurring right now. You should not have to worry about past moments or future moments. All you have to focus on is what is currently happening in the world around you. I think it was placed at the end of the film to make it more symbolic and have a deeper impact. If it was just thrown in their in the middle it would be forgotten about and not a big moment in the film.
